Abstracts

The 'Abstract' series demonstrates the use of colour and distortion to create euphoric images with subtle facial expression and amplified facial features.

These images experiment with distortion and reshaping of the face and the ability to deform and contort oneself into an artistic compilation of specific features, colours, lines and shapes.

Accomplished through Photoshop liquify and reshaping. Two light setup, white backdrop and colour grading.

Flash!

The 'Flash!' project contains a two-part series of photographs experimenting with various lighting, taken in the studio and on location.

The colourised portraits however, explore colours related to emotion with the use of composite images to achieve an emotional expression of energy and aura.

The location self portraits portray a film noir scene of waiting and memories.
Accomplished through composite images, each photograph contains a hidden expression or motion acknowledging the identity of light.
